My Daughter's Baby Shoe

My Daughter's Baby Shoe/EDM Challenge #1

The first challenge on the road to recovering my creative self was to draw a shoe. Since it happened to be my daughter’s birthday, I dug out and drew her baby shoe (she was amazed I kept it but pleased there were little lions on the side because she loves animals). This actually took several nights to draw since I had some trouble getting it to look shoe-like. There’s an unfortunate wrinkle on the page which is what the light stripe is.

Your shoe is precious! Victory and growth DOES come in the mere posting of the picture–but you really do wonderful work!
Can’t wait to see your lamp!

What a great place to start–with your daughter’s baby shoe. A great way to record those early years, too!
Welcome to EDM!

I bet she takes after her mother! Great job and a good start on the challenges.

Decidedly shoe-like and a baby one at that. Nice work.

this is wonderful! I see nothing wrong with this.

Nice beginning to your journey.

A fine looking 14 year old baby shoe if I ever saw one. Nicely drawn too… I LOVE your woman below too… she looks fabulous.

More good things to come, no doubt. Keep drawing and thrive!

Lovely job on this sketch, and LOVE the prose you added….blessings to you and your daughter.

I think your shoe is excellent, and I’m glad you decided to post it. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work! By the way, I really like the design of this blog.

Your shoe is great. You are right you are no “mere” anything. And not because your shoe is great. Simply because. Sounds like you and your daughter make a great team.

mighty nice shoe! my granpa’s b-day was Oct. 31st.
he was strong, smart, and said what he thought with
